Ariana Grande released a surprise single on Saturday where she talked about her failed relationships and even nominated some of her exes, including Pete Davidson, Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez and the late Mac Miller.
As it turns out, the 25-year-old pop diva was keen to let her exes listen to the track before releasing it.
Big went to Twitter on Saturday to respond to a Twitter user who wrote "Sean and Ricky listening to their names thank you next" along with a "confusing" gif.
"They heard it before they left," Big replied, along with a heart emoji and a smiling face.
Despite the fact that the title of the song sounds as if it were casting some shadow, the lyrics of the track tell a different story – one of appreciation she learned from her previous relationships.
"I thought it would end Sean / But it was not a game / He wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I hear and laugh," she sings in the song. "I almost got married / And for Pete, I'm very grateful / I wish I could say," Thank you to Malcolm. " Malcolm, of course, is the birth name of Mac Miller.
Great continues with sad, but reflective lyrics like: "One taught me love / One taught me patience, and one taught me pain," as well as stating, "I am so grateful for my ex."
On Sunday, Big went to Instagram to share a special message of gratitude to her fans, (and possibly also her ex-boyfriends), sharing a gloomy, instant lo-fi of herself, possibly on the set of the next clip for her single " Breathin & # 39; & quot;
"Thank you for listening to me and for making me feel not so lonely," he wrote in the caption. "I'm really grateful, no matter how painful I am grateful and I love you."
Davidson shared similarly elegant and supportive comments about the Grande over the weekend during a "Weekend Update" segment on Saturday night live.
After joking about the upcoming midterm elections, Davidson addressed the elephant in the room.
"I know some of you are curious about the breakup, but the truth is it's nobody's business, but sometimes things just do not work and that's okay," Davidson said seriously. "She is a wonderful and strong person and I sincerely wish her all the happiness in the world."
