Minister of Environment discusses with support of Canadian delegation for post-2020 strategy

Dr Yasmin Fouad, Minister for the Environment, met with the head of the Canadian delegation on the sidelines of the 14th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity held in Sharm El Sheikh.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibility of holding a high-level meeting in Montreal next April, in the presence of several environment ministers and businessmen interested in various sectors, at the request of the Canadian delegation to maximize political support agreement in the next period.

During the meeting, the head of the delegation confirmed Canada's readiness to support the Egyptian initiative to address the deterioration of biodiversity and the effects of climate change using the most modern modern systems.

The Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity is being held in Sharm El Sheikh from 13 to 29 November under the theme Investing in Biodiversity for Man and Planet.
