Central Bohemia – Patients were slightly added, but not dramatic. This is suggested by Friday's calculations from Central Bohemia hygienists who monitor the incidence of acute respiratory infections, including influenza. The number of doctors reported that last week – 45 – the total number of diseases in the region increased 4.2% over the previous week and reached 986 diseases per hundred thousand inhabitants.

The highest was in Pribram, the lowest in Nymburk. Traditionally, most of the patients are among the preschoolers – in the age group up to five years, Lilian Rumlová, director of the regional hygiene department antiepidemia, recalled Friday. The most significant increase, however, was recorded among young people.
The number of diseases with clinical manifestations of influenza has not changed over the past two weeks: morbidity still reaches six cases per 100,000 inhabitants, accounting for 0.6 percent of total morbidity.
However, despite typical symptoms, laboratory research has shown that actual flu has not yet arrived. "The influenza virus was not caught in the samples of biological sample material," Ruml confirmed.
