The biggest Czech searcher for discounts and advantageous residential offers, after 8 years of operation in the Czech Republic, is about to conquer the Polish market. Abroad will be Skrz.cz stay under the mark Sortado and, as in the Czech Republic, will focus mainly on travel. In the future, Skrz.cz intends to enter gradually into other markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

In Poland, Skrz.cz operates under the name Sortado and launched its service in early November in the domain sortado.pl, where it currently offers almost 2000 offers from Polish resellers. "We are gradually planning to expand our cooperation with our Czech customers who also have their own activities in Poland and we also want to help Czech retailers with expansion to Poland" he says Petr Kováčik, director of Skrz.cz.

Sortado will focus on travel in Poland. In addition, Skrz.cz itself reports a greater specialization in the area of stays. The value of its interrelated travel requests grew 40% over the previous year and, as a whole, already sold 1 billion Czech crowns in annual Skrz.cz sales.

"In the long run we are succeeding in establishing successful cooperation with major travel agencies while actively inspiring people to travel" says Kováčik. In the Czech Republic, Skrz.cz partners include Invia.cz, Travelportal.cz, Zajezdy.cz, CK Neckermann, Čedok or BlueStyle.

The choice of Poland as the first foreign market had several reasons. "Poland is a large and growing market where there is less penetration of the Internet, so we can expect other significant growth across the market." In addition, purchasing power is about three times larger than the Czech Republic, and travel field is not so strong in Poland " Kováčik says, adding: "With the success of the Polish project, we are ready to open other markets next year, especially in the Central and Eastern European region."

Skrz.cz's first foreign expansion is one year from the company to more than 1.5 billion kronor, and Slevomat has bought British group Secret Escapes. All Polish activities are led by the Skrz.cz team in Prague, and in Warsaw there is strong support from the headquarters group in the EEC.
