With an experience aboard more than 30,000 feet, Viva Air began the new Medellin-Lima route on November 11.
"We are very happy to start this new route directly to continue connecting Colombia and Peru. This route is already seeing the "Live Effect", where tickets have been reduced by up to 41% since we went on sale"Said Felix Antelo, president and CEO of Viva Air, who also said that with the reduction of tariffs the most benefited are travelers.
As of this date, Viva Air has 3 weekly flights departing from Medellín to Lima on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and expects to carry more than 40,000 customers in the first year of operation.

"We are celebrating the opening of the new Medellin-Lima direct route operated by Viva Air, because aerial connectivity is one of the fundamental aspects for the promotion of Colombia as an international tourist destination. Currently, Colombia has 1,054 direct international airfreight per week, which connect our country with 26 destinations worldwide. This new route will add three frequencies representing an additional 540 seats per week", Stressed the president of ProColombia, Flavia Santoro.
It should be noted that Viva Air has a network of domestic routes in Peru linking 8 destinations from Lima to Cusco, Arequipa, Tarapoto, Iquitos, among others. In addition, and to strengthen air connectivity, Viva Air increased its frequencies on the Bogotá-Lima-Bogotá route, going from 10 to 14 flights a week.
