O National Authority for Environmental Licenses (ANLA) delivered the first wind power generation license for the Alpha Wind Generation project. to be developed in La Guajira.
Rodrigo Suárez Castaño, director of ANLA, stressed that the project would work with 65 wind turbines or turbines and an electric substation that will collect energy from the wind farm and then connect to the national transmission system.
The director of ANLA stated that the license was delivered with the endorsement of indigenous communities residing in the village of Limoncito in the municipality of Maicao.
This is the first wind energy project in which ANLA participates and currently processes other environmental license applications for two wind power projects and three solar energy.
In accordance with the commitment made by President Iván Duque at the workshop "Building the Country & # 39; in Uribia, in which it assured that it would increase the participation of Non-Conventional Renewable Energies in the country to at least 10%, 10 projects of the same type would have to be created.
