Employment in the manufacturing sector rises in September


Manufacturing workers in Mexico recorded a 0.2% increase in September 2018 compared to the previous month, according to seasonally adjusted data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

By manufacturing items and in Inegi's original numbers, the employed personnel in the industries dedicated to the manufacture of clothing decreased by 1.3%, while those specializing in tanning and finishing leather and leather, and manufacturing leather products. , skin and replacement materials decreased by 0.2%.

On the other hand, in the industries dedicated to the manufacture of textile products, with the exception of garments, as well as in the manufacturing companies of textile inputs and finishes, the employed personnel increased, in each of them, 0.9%.
