They sell a 275 kilo tuna at 2.7 million euros

Kiyoshi Kimura, chairman of the Sushi-Zanmai chain, shows the tuna purchased at the New Year auction of the Toyosu market in Tokyo. The businessman paid a record for tuna at Toyosu's first ever New Year's auction in Tokyo. The founder of the company Sushi-Zanmai was left with the giant bluefin tuna weighing 275 pounds after tendering 333,600,000 Japanese yen, equivalent to 2.7 million euros. The record of this sale more than doubles the previous mark of 155 million yen marked in 2003.
