They investigate whether the body found in Chiguayante corresponds to that of Tamara Zurita
The young woman has been missing since September 2018.
During this Tuesday, a body was found in the commune of Chiguayante, Region of Biobío. Investigative Police (PDI) personnel investigate whether the remains correspond to those of Tamara Zurita, has disappeared in the area since September 2018.
According to the Governor of Concepción, Robert Contreras, "around 4:50 pm information was received that skeletal remains were found in the commune of Chiguayante, we passed through the site along with the PDI, and we are waiting for the operatives to determine the sex and cause of death ".
The head of the Homicide Brigade of Conceição, commissioner Jorge Abate, explained that the bones correspond to those of a woman between 20 and 25 years.
Police personnel found clothing that matched those worn by the young woman at the time of her disappearance. "We have a family from Santa Juana and one from Concepción who have approached usand with them the work is being done to establish identity, through clothing, but mainly through DNA systems with the criminal laboratory, "Abate said.
Through DNA tests, the Legal Medical Service will check if the bones correspond to Tamara's. The PDI convened the parents of the young woman at 9:00 am this Thursday at the Procuración de Concepción.
