Scientists confirm, in theory, that the radiation emitted by Sagittarius A * is for the suspect reason.
There is an undeniable fixation of humanity with the supermassive black holes. But the confirmation of one's existence is always disturbing.
As with Sagittarius A *, a formation that is at the center of our galaxy; but this for years had been a mystery to everyone. So far.
According to an official communiqué, European Southern Observatory (ESO). A group of scientists used the Very Large Telescope (VLT); observe outbreaks of infrared radiation from the debris disc around Sagittarius A *.
In parallel, the researchers used the GRAVITY telescope interferometer to observe three bright flares orbiting around the formation; even though it was at a speed equivalent to 30% of the speed of light.
These explosions would be caused by the hot gases orbiting Sagittarius A *; in collision with the surrounding magnetic fields.
The conjunction of all these phenomena represents absolute evidence that Sagittarius A * would indeed be a supermassive black hole.
Then ESO edited this special video where it shows a simulation of how the phenomenon would be; because of the rhythm of the flames.
This is the first time the material is observed so close to the event horizon of a supermassive black hole.
And the best part is that it's in the center of our galaxy.
