One month after its release, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate continues to fascinate Switch players. Enough to continue exploring the possibilities that arise when its 74 combatants collide in unpredictable scenarios, getting delirious results in the process.
In Extra Life we've already seen two flaws with Cinnamon, in which I could do such spectacular feats that they would be able to fight back or get you out of the game, though – fortunately – the circumstances for activating them were really concrete.
Now you can see two effects that do not break the delivery, but they are tremendously curious. Because some fighters not only radiate nintendera magic: they are also capable of voodoo magic.
Shrinking heads with Cinnamon and Wario
We start with a curiosity that somehow tells us how some of the tricks of the game are achieved and the versatility that the character models have: with the proper movement of Cinnamon or Wario we can see how the heads of our rivals shrink as if it were a curse of voodoo.
To see this effect, simply use the Animal Crossing wizard network or ingest our enemies with Mario's Alter Ego. If during the process, we pause the game and We played with the camera until we punched the body of our fighter., we'll see how the heads and some limbs shrink in a surreal way.
Something that is clear in this video of The Eggbuster channel.
In addition, in some cases, with the Cinnamon network, the head and the extremities disappear. And for example, the following video of Master Of Hyrule.
In the end, it's about a programming trick on the part of Nintendo so that the models do not overlap, so that when hiring certain parts of the body of the fighters one obtains the illusion that they have been caught. You'll never see them again. when you execute these attacks.
Make the crown of King K. Rool bigger than a house
This second case can be considered a failure, although it is not harmful enough to sentence a game. For now, to activate it, we need a champignon and two concrete green fighters with a huge appetite: King K. Rool and Yoshi.
The method is tremendously simple: when we have a King K. Rool with increased size, it will be enough to use his special movement with which he throws the crown. Now, just before retrieving it, Yoshi must ingest it and turn it into an egg.
The result? As you'll see in the video above (via Dualshockers), the crown will be even bigger than the one King Rool originally wore. And if Yoshi is made with another mushroom, as long as he has it in his hand, it will reach its maximum dimensions, exceeding the size of a house.
While the system to shrink the characters is one of the many tricks of the game that under normal circumstances are hidden, the second of the effects possibly be adjusted in a future update. In fact, when you read these lines, it may have been fixed.
What does not stop you from looking new programming tricks or so curious effects.
