CEMETERY OF AIRCRAFT – Did you ever think you'd see that number of planes in the desert? Well, you just did it. Southern California Airport in Victorville, a city on the west coast of the United States, has an aircraft depot with more than 150 aircraft that are out of service. This happened because the demand for the Boeing 747 model has declined considerably over the past two decades.
THE DUTCH COLORS – These colored bands are part of a tulip growing area in Lisse, a town in the west of Holland. The flowers begin to bloom in March and peak in April. In the country, more than 4,300 million bulbs are grown each year.
PERFECT FORMS – These small squares are part of the neighborhood of Eixample, in the Spanish city of Barcelona, known for the grid pattern used in building construction. The project, by Catalan urban planner Ildefons Cerdà, includes wide streets with octagonal crossings that allow to enjoy the light of the sun and facilitate the ventilation. It also has an area that allows you to park vehicles for a short time.
SOLAR CONCENTRATION – This photo shows a solar thermal plant with a special storage system called Gemasolar. It is in the city of Seville, in the south of Spain. It has 2,650 mirrors that take advantage of the energy generated by the sun.
FERREA MOUNTAIN – This is the aerial view of an iron ore mine on Whaleback Mountain in Western Australia. 98% of the steel used in the construction of buildings, cars and appliances, such as refrigerators, is composed of this mineral.
GEOMETRY PARIS – The Parisian streets were designed by the French mayor Georges-Eugène Haussmann between 1853 and 1870. The demolition of overcrowded and unhealthy medieval neighborhoods was necessary. They were replaced by the construction of wide and diagonal avenues, parks, fountains, aqueducts and sewage systems.

COLORS IN THE SEA – These tankers are waiting in the vicinity of Singapore Harbor, which is the second with the largest flow in the world. There it passes a fifth of the containers that arrive to the ports of different countries and also half of the annual supply of petroleum.
GREENHOUSES VERDES – The structures seen in the photo are in Almeria, a city in the south of Spain. They occupy an area of 194 km² and use a technique called "plasticultura", whose objective is to accelerate the cultivation of fruits. As a reference, only 18 km² of the total surface area are visible in the image.
