Neighborhood Patronato will have its carnival this Saturday

The party barrial Multicultural Council, organized by the Parish Council and the Neighborhood of the Cultural Collective Building, celebrates 10 years in 2018 and is celebrated with a parade of street murgas on Saturday 24 November from 16.00.

The presentation begins at 246 Rio de Janeiro Street (corner of Asunción Street) in front of the communal headquarters and will pass through the neighboring streets. The party will be extended until approximately 8:00 pm.

On the occasion, they will present 11 comparsas with the dances and the manifestations that coexist in the Patronato, among which are the Comparsa Vecinal 2018 / Vista Bella Samba School; Cantares de Maipú; Sun and earth; Alicanto; Latin American families; Bolivian salary; Jireh tribe; Rising sun; Mama Afrika and Saido Raidokan School.

Since its inception in 2009, the Cultural Patronage Party is distinguished by representing the different cultures present in the neighborhood through the comparsas and cabezonas (giant female figures).

Multicultural Patronage has had the support and sponsorship of the Municipality of Recoleta in recent years and once obtained funding from culture funds, although most of the initiative is based on community participation, which has, through its work, achieved to value its neighborhood.
