The Ministry of Health will carry out important work to identify the 30,000 cases of HIV that are deficient in being carriers of the virus. The campaign is based on UNAIDS figures, considering that only 40,000 of the 70,000 diagnosed cases are being treated.

Considering that contagion expectations will increase, especially from the summer, different actions will be carried out, with teams going to high-level sites such as universities, companies, prisons and even the most visited beaches, as detailed by La Tercera.

These points will also strengthen the work with the different strategic alliances implemented by the portfolio and the deployment of personnel with rapid tests that deliver a diagnosis in 15 minutes.

To date the Minsal already acquired 260 thousand of these equipments and will soon buy another 800 thousand.

"We seek to shake younger people about their risk. We need to arrive by other means and we are thinking, for example, during the summer period, to see how we install mobile stations on beaches and centers where there are a lot of young people and do something as simple as they can easily access the test, "he explained minister Emilio Santelices.
