The last months were marked by the differences between the results presented by the government data, which uses the numbers of the pension system contributors and the unemployment insurance, with those of the INE. In fact, Labor Minister Nicolas Monckeberg, before delivering the INE report, said yesterday that, according to the latest data available for January, contributors to the pension system increased 202,246 in twelve months.
In its report, INE reiterated that the figures derived from the National Employment Survey "should be analyzed with caution, since currently the process leading to the results contains limitations that can only be phased out in the coming months, through the update of the sampling base with which the houses are selected, which began to be implemented as of November 2018. "
The employment report adds that, by sector, the 12-month expansion of employment was driven by health activities (8.7%), education (3.4%) and administrative and support services (7.9% ). ).
Women's employment grew by 1.2% in twelve months, while men grew by 0.1%. According to the age group, the greatest influence came from the age group of 50 to 64 years, which rose by 2.8%, while the age group from 15 to 24 years fell by 5.5%.

Informality of work
Informal workers decreased by 0.6% in twelve months, affected only by the fall of women who fell by 1.5%. According to the economic sector, there was a decline in construction of 4.8% and in transport, with a decline of 6.1%.
By employment category, private employees, public servants, unpaid family members and employers decreased by 4.6%, 10.3%, 7.4% and 7.2%, respectively. The only increases were recorded in self-employed workers (3%) and domestic workers (11.1%). In the same period, the informal employment rate contracted 0.3 points to 29.2%.
