A giant asteroid of more than 200 meters is approaching full speed towards Earth, according to NASA.
According to the US space agency, the rock called 2018 LF16 can hit our planet with a force of 50 megatons, like a nuclear bomb, according to what Sun says. Of course, it's practically impossible for that to happen.
The asteroid could pass close to Earth on August 8, 2023, although there are also two other probable dates: August 3, 2024 and August 1, 2025.
According to the British press, the rock has a size similar to that of Big Ben, the classic London clock.
It must be reiterated that the possibility that affects our planet is practically nil. In that sense, on the risk scale of Turin's impact, there is a "zero" chance that will hit Earth.
