UPDATE: Yarmouth Christmas Parade Incident Claims Child's Life | Regional | News

YARMOUTH – At 6:58 a.m. on November 24, Yarmouth Town RCMP responded to an incident on Starrs Rd. In Yarmouth during the Christmas parade. A 4-year-old girl had fallen under a float in the parade, resulting in her transport by EHS to Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, she was declared deceased.

Public Information Officer Cpl. Dal Hutchinson says the investigation continues. For those who witnessed this tragic event, he advises you to contact support services.

"Our thoughts are with the child's family during this difficult time," he said.
