As in the past, OnePlus partnered with Mclaren to launch a special edition of its latest flagship. In addition to a modified design and 10 GB of RAM, the limited edition device includes various software settings.
One of these software additions is the on-screen fingerprint animation, seen below. Luckily for those who already own a OnePlus 6T, forum members XDA-Developers I found an incredibly easy way to enable exclusive animation without the need for root or sideload access from any software.
There are two fairly straightforward methods to make things work in the T-Mobile and global versions of OnePlus 6T. The first involves downloading the Play Database Settings Database Editor application. From there, open the application and verify that the "System Table" option is selected.
Then find "op_custom_unlock_animation_style" and select the option to edit the value. Here, you will enter "3", confirm the change and the animation of OnePlus 6T Mclaren Edition should be working on your phone.
The second method is even easier, but only if you have ADB configured on your computer. If you do, first connect your OnePlus 6T to your machine, and then run "adb devices." While the device appears, you can run "adb shell settings put the op_custom_unlock_animation_style 3 system". And that's it!
You can check the forum on XDA site if you have any problem to make the animation work on your OnePlus 6T.
Be sure to let us know in the comments section if you have decided to add the Mclaren Edition animation to your OnePlus 6T!
