Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch at the February 20 event, through which it will announce the Galaxy S10 series. Today, SamMobile has shared vital information about the specifications of the Galaxy Active smartwatch.
A new report reveals that there are rumors that the Galaxy Watch Active features a 1.1-inch AMOLED screen that will support 360 x 360 pixel resolution. The small display will not have a rotating bezel ring. It remains to be seen if all the controls will be available on the small screen of the device. It is expected to arrive with a 236 mAh battery. The device is likely to arrive with a redesigned small size charging keypad, where the smartwatch can be positioned horizontally. The Galaxy S10 will support reverse wireless charging. S10 users can simply put the smartwatch on it to charge it wirelessly.
The publication says there will be no further editing of the device. Recent reports have confirmed only the existence of the model SM-R500 that should reach the market as Galaxy Watch Active. The Gear Sport released last year was also available in a single variant.
Galaxy Watch is expected to have support for 50 ATM water resistance, such as Gear Sport. The Exynos 9110 chipset will be present under the hood of the device. It will be featuring an internal storage of 4 GB. The device runs on Tien OS. Unlike previous reports that Galaxy Watch Active would support LTE, new information reveals that it will not be equipped with support for 3G or 4G connectivity. It will support Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Galaxy Watch Active will be a very thick device because it is expected to measure 13 mm. It is thicker than the Sport Sport, which measures 11.6 mm. There is no word on the price of Galaxy Watch Active.
