Mental health problems do not discriminate – even the brightest celebrities, with all the advantages of the world, are not immune to depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. They are much more common than you think; approximately one in five adults in the US suffers from mental illness in a given year, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. But the reality is that there is still a stigma surrounding mental health problems (and many people are not getting the treatment they need).
