Spurs & # 39; the suns in the last victory

Rudy Gay slammed the doorbell to give the Spurs an impressive 126-124 victory Tuesday night, but Gregg Popovich was not particularly impressed.

Popovich, in fact, was furious with the San Antonio effort against visiting Phoenix Suns.

Pop said his team "had no respect for them or the game" during a 27-second interview.

Per The Express-News:

"I'm not happy about what happened, but we got a win," Gay said. "That's part of being a good team, finding a way to get a win."

Afterwards, Popovich poured cold water on the celebration, believing that the game should never have come to Gay's heroism. He did not respond to questions from reporters after the game, offering only a brief statement that concluded with an indication of his team's approach.

"We had no respect for them or the game," Popovich said. "It was a pathetic performance. Phoenix was stolen.
