The world's leading smartphone maker, Samsung, quietly announced the phone of the Google Galaxy J4 Core, the second edition of Android Go after the J2 Core, which was launched in India in August.
As the name suggests, it is an advanced version of J2 Core. The new Galaxy J4 Core boasts a huge 6.0-inch HD + screen with a resolution of 720x1480p. On the back, it sports polycarbonate-based shell with a main camera module at the top with LED flash.
Under the hood, the Samsung device comes equipped with a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (expandable up to 512GB via microSD card) and a battery of 3,300mAh, which is more than enough to keep the phone running for a full day under mixed use.

As previously said, the Galaxy J4 Core is a phone affiliated with Google and runs the Android version 8.1 pure Oreo Go. For those who do not know, the Android Android OS development team has optimized Android Go specifically for budget smartphones with minimal hardware with 1GB of RAM (or less). It is very lightweight but does not compromise in terms of performance.
It may also be noted that the Android team has improvised preinstalled Google applications (for example, Go Files, Google Go, Maps Go and YouTube Go, among others) to take up 50% less space, ensuring that smartphone users low cost more space for music, applications, photos and other activities.
As for photography hardware, the Galaxy J4 Core comes with 8MP with F2.2 aperture and a 5MP sensor on the front with dedicated LED flash. Unfortunately, there is no fingerprint sensor on the front and back.
In the spec sheet, the company did not mention whether or not the Galaxy J4 Core will unlock. If there is not, it will be very difficult for Samsung to convince consumers, especially in emerging markets, where even the entry level comes with these security features. The price, which the company has not yet disclosed, will decide the fate of the device.
