Ryerson University buildings, roads to reopen after suspicious package investigation – Toronto

Roads and buildings in the Ryerson University area are expected to reopen after a suspicious package investigation has prompted evacuations on Friday morning.

Just before 11:40 pm, police said on Twitter that the item turned out to be a "little alarm dropped".

Investigators were called to the Bond Street and Gould Street area at 9:28 a.m. in Toronto police. Caroline de Kloet said the package was located outdoors in a concrete bin.

Ryerson said on Twitter that the area was evacuated and six of its buildings were temporarily closed.
