Police looking for woman, baby after finding evidence of labor in Mississauga park


Peel police are asking for help from the public as they look for a woman and a baby who may be in medical distress after police found blood and forceps at a park in Mississauga.

The police were called shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Monday about what they are calling "suspicious circumstances" at Sugar Maple Woods Park, near Winston Churchill Boulevard and West Britannia Road. When they arrived at the park, they found blood, forceps and "other evidence consistent with childbirth," according to a press release.

The police are concerned about the well-being of the mother and the child.
