Pep Guardiola offered a charming response when asked to Jose Mourinho.

Guardiola and Mourinho's coaching careers are inextricably linked, after their La Liga rivalry has now been supplemented with a Premier League run.

Both heads in Spain, like Real Madrid de Mourinho, were the only obstacle to the domestic domination of Barcelona under the command of Guardiola.

The latter is now in charge of Manchester City, with Mourinho in the hotseat of bitter rival United.

And after finishing third and sixth respectively in their first seasons after both were named in the summer of 2016, Guardiola won the Premier League title with a difference of 19 points over United's last second-place campaign.

The city's lead over its rivals is already 14 points and six places this season, but both now turn their attention to the Champions League.

Guardiola admits The city will be seen as "unsuccessful" by many if they can not win the competition, but the Spaniard took time to dedicate himself to a very tiresome questioning line of the journalist.

In a joyful moment, Guardiola joked with a fake punch in a reporter asking him in French to compare himself with his colleague from Manchester United and his rival Jose Mourinho.

"I'm not the guy to answer that," he said.
