Environment Canada issued a special meteorological statement for Metro Vancouver, warning of the possibility of wet snow inside and on high ground on Tuesday.
A front-end Pacific spreading system will spread precipitation over Metro Vancouver throughout the day, and a mass of cold air along the coast means rain can be mixed with snow, according to the weather agency
However, Environment Canada says that much of the white material is not expected.
"The current snow accumulations, if any, will be minimal," he said.
