Meet the 2019 McLaren 720S Spider: McLaren blows the roof of his magnificent supercar

That means the 720S Spider is only 0.1 second slower than the Coupe. Similarly, the quarter mile is treated in 10.4 seconds, which is also only 0.1 seconds out of the coupe's pace. McLaren even says the Spider will match the top speed of the Coupe to 212 mph with the roof up and even with the roof lowered, the car can still travel up to 202 mph. If there's a downside to buying Spider, we will not be able to see it.

If you have ever loved the interior of the Coupe, you will not have problems with Spider. Almost everything remains the same, although there are some subtle differences under the car. McLaren designed new forged 10-spoke alloy wheels specifically for the Spider. These are packed in Pirelli P Zero tires, although a P Zero Corsa tire with greater focus on the track is also available, as well as winter tires.
