I have learned that Jesse Puljujarvi will have surgery ending next week. I went for a second opinion on Tuesday and based on the decision to have surgery, they got the same diagnosis.
It sounds like it should make a full recovery and be skating by the end of the summer.
We will have more info when it comes out, and thankfully this will put an end to the ridiculous assumption that Puljujarvi's agent only asked for a second opinion so Puljujarvi would not be sent to the minors.
That would have been extremely unprofessional.
I did not understand why his agent would mention the trade of the game when he knew his client was injured. It was not wise in my eyes, but he was not going to advise his client to fake an injury.
But Puljujarvi will have surgery, and hopefully for his sake there are no complications, he has a speedy recovery and will be able to train and start to camp ready to compete for a spot in the top nine.
The Oilers need him to keep developing and he needs to keep fine tuning his game.
