Eight years later, the DS version of Ni No Kuni can now be reprinted in English

While Ni No Kuni was released for the first time on PS3 in 2011, it's easy to forget that there was also a totally different version of the DS that was released in 2010. Mainly because this game was only available in Japan.

Ni no Kuni: Domain of the Dark Genie It featured mostly the same story, but was built from scratch for Nintendo hardware, and played as a completely unique experience. It came with a huge spellbook that was designed to be in your hands as you play, so you know how to cast them.

It took eight years (until the day, as the original and this version were both on December 9), but a team working on GBAtemp (via Bya @ Resetera) finally managed to build a complete build of the game, which is now available for download.

Also, they even translated the spell book so you can print it out and have it with you.

You can download the translation here. I remember being so excited about this game that I got the Japanese version and tried to force my way, without success, so I'm super excited to try this.
