San Jose Sharks will try to avoid a three-game losing streak when it hosts Arizona Coyotes at the SAP Center on Sunday.
After winning the fifth consecutive season, the Sharks lost 5 to 3 to Winnipeg Jets on Thursday and 3-2 in overtime for the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.
Sharks will be left without defender Erik Karlsson, which was suspended two games by an illegal check to the head of Kings forward Austin Wagner at 2:33 of the second period. Karlsson, twice winner of the Norris Trophy, has a sequence of eight games (zero goals, 10 assists).
Arizona ended a three-game losing streak with a 6-4 victory over the Colorado Avalanche at the Gila River Arena.
The Coyotes are 2-7-0 in their last nine games and have scored six goals in their previous four games before equaling the total against Colorado.

Coyotes forward Brad Richardson scored two goals against Colorado and led Arizona with 10 goals.
Shark Center Joe Pavelski The team has three goals and 23 goals in the season, one more than last season.
