Apparently when Christian Bale met Donald Trump during the filming of 2011 The dark Knight Rises, the current president thought the actor really was Bruce Wayne.
Bale was interviewed on the red carpet for the premiere of Addiction, the new film in which he stars as former US Vice President Dick Cheney. One of the themes that surfaced was how Bale actually met the current President of the United States years ago as part of The dark Knight Rises was filmed at Trump Tower, and Bale was invited to his office.

"I think he thought I was Bruce Wayne," said Bale jokingly. Variety, "because I was dressed like Bruce Wayne.Then he talked to me like I was Bruce Wayne and I just went along with him, really.It was a lot of fun.I had no idea at the time that he would think about running for president."
Bale also talked about the drastic weight changes he goes through for his roles, including increasing volume for Batman and increasing Addiction, admitting that "This is the first time I actually went to a nutritionist because I'm starting to feel my mortality … I decided," You know what, I can die, so maybe I should go see someone who really knows what they're talking about instead of just flying, "which is what I've always done."
Addiction, directed by Adam McKay and starring Bale, Amy Adams, Steve Carrell, Jessie Plemons, Lily Rabe, Vanessa Cloke, Tyler Perry, Tiffany Smith and Justin Kirk, arrives on December 25th.
