Chris Pratt is taking his health regimen to biblical proportions. Literally.
The actor, 39, updated followers of Instagram in his latest dietary routine: Daniel Fast, a combination of fasting and prayer inspired by the Bible.
"Hello, Chris Pratt, here, Day Three of Daniel Fast, check it out," Pratt said in a video of Instagram's story, now defeated. "There are 21 days of prayer and fasting."
A website for Daniel Fast explains that it is a "partial fast in which some foods are consumed, while others are restricted. Most people use this fasting method for 21 consecutive days."

Participants are limited to drinking only water and eating only foods that have grown from seeds such as fruits, vegetables and grains. The name is inspired by the Old Testament prophet Daniel, who limited his diet to vegetables and water in order to cleanse his body and focus better on a spiritual connection with God, leaving behind distractions like flesh and wine.

"In the last couple of months, I did not feel so motivated to work out, and I've been eating," he said in an Instagram report in December.
"And I know it's winter and it's party time." This morning I woke up and determined I'm going to go in. And I do not want to, but I'll do it, I'm going to start today. "
"Let's motivate ourselves," he continued to his followers. "Social media stuff can be so ugly and so unpleasant and can hurt each other, but I'm trying to motivate you."
