The sequential action between Bulgarians and Gypsies was played in Krichim today. Between 11:30 and 12 noon, a 28-year-old gypsy girl with a child with another relative was in a pawnshop, the Maritza newspaper reported.
The owner was sitting with a 60 year old acquaintance. The latter began to insult and swearing the gypsies, using obscene and vulgar words. After the insults and harassment of the 60-year-old man, young Roma said she would call her husband. The Bulgarian was angry, began to pull him by the hair and to impose with a handle of broom.
The cops came to them. Meanwhile, witnesses called 112. At the scene, doctors examined the gypsies who had been injured and released her for home treatment. The husband of the beaten up man and a few other men went in search of the 60 year old man who attacked the woman. When they did not find him, they returned to the neighborhood.
At present, in Krichim, where there is a solid presence of permanently alive gypsies, there is no ethnic tension. Over the years, however, there have been conflicts between Bulgarians and Gypsies.
