247 – Senyor Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL) insinuated on Friday (1) that Civil Affairs Minister Onyx Lorenzoni (DEM-RS) was responsible for leaking to GloboNews the information that President Jair Bolsonaro (PSL- RJ) telephoned Renan Calheiros (MDB) late Thursday (31), shortly after the MDB confirmed Renan's nomination for the Senate presidency.
"Minister Onyx must have leaked to Globonews that Bolsonaro called me wanting to blur the meaning of the call. I never talked about talking to the president of the Republic," wrote Renan Calheiros.
The connection did not catch well between Jair Bolsonaro's supporters, opposed to Calheiros's reinstatement to the Senate presidency. To try to get around the situation, the retired captain said he would call all the other candidates.
