Honda CB 650R and CBR 650R Renewed for Brazil | Two Wheeled Hall – 2019



Honda highlighted the news of the CB line in its presentation on Monday (18), at the opening of the Hall Two Wheels in Sao Paulo. The revamped CB 650 R and CBR 650 R and updates to the CB 500 F and CB 500 X will hit stores in Q1 next year, the manufacturer said.

The 500 have changes in design and have gained new dashboard, digital and with gear indicator. They also received the sliding clutch.

The CB 500X will follow the updates made in the European market – the brand had already registered its patent in Brazil. While maintaining the same base, the bike was more "adventurous" with a 19-inch front wheel, replacing the old 17-inch wheel.

In the 650 line, the main changes are in the naked CB 650R, which gained a completely new design. It was a mix of retro and modern.

The engine also gained new intake and exhaust to improve power delivery. Abroad, reached 95 horses, but in Brazil, will be at 88.4 hp. O G1 already walked in the model and soon publishes the first impressions.

The 650 also gained traction control, sliding clutch, inverted suspensions and lighter chassis.

Also new to the CB 250F Twister SE. It is a special edition of Twister, with graphics inspired by the brand's “competition bikes”. With blue paint, the bike has a well-known displacement "250" in the tank and wheels in orange.

Other news is spread at the manufacturer's booth and had already been advanced in a preview last week. The main one is the CG 160 Titan S, version of the best-selling motorcycle in Brazil, which will hit stores next month.

Still no set price, it brings new graphics with white, black and red colors. Another differential is the 5-rim alloy wheels in red.

Honda also showcases the Bros 160 “Special Edition”, inspired by Honda's cross bikes. That is why her painting resembles that of the CRF line, with a mixture of red and white. Your sales should start in early 2020.

Following the same premise seen at Bros, Honda will launch in early 2020 a special version of the XRE 190. In this case, the automaker gave a face of more "adventure" to the bike, with new color and graphics.

Honda's smallest motorcycle in Brazil, the Pop 110i, won the Rally concept, inspired by one of the largest: the CRF 1000L Africa Twin. In addition to the adventurous color, the bike has a high exhaust, made of stainless steel and carbon, and off-road tires.

There is also the Pop 110i Vintage, another conceptual version of Pop inspired by the surfing universe, hence the board on its side. Gauntlets and seat are aged synthetic leather, which highlights the retro look of the model.

The CB 1000R got even more "coffee racer" in the concept exhibited at SP Expo. The goal was to make a motorcycle as if it was customized in a garage.

For the XRE 300, Honda used the "off-road adventure" theme. Its graphic design was inspired by the wind rose, and the bike gained several accessories, such as side bags, canteen and gallon holder.

For the NC 750X, the brand has reserved a style with "elegance and sophistication". Details such as side pockets, two-tone paint with double stitching bench pair with shades such as pearl gray, ultra-gloss black and copper.

Also in the salon is a project made from scratch in Brazil: the concept of a scooter designed for the female audience. Only it can only be seen through augmented reality. In the future, it could be the basis of a Brazilian scooter from the automaker.
