The second edition of the National Youth Archery Championship begins today with 68 archers from five teams starting Monday.
In both age groups (under-20 and under-17), 39 boys and 17 girls are participating.
The teams participating in the tournament held at Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium in Tongi are the Bangladesh Sports Education Institute (BKSP), the Archery Parliament, the Quantum Sporting, the Shawl Traditional (ST) Archery Club and the Standard Bangladesh (SB) Archery Club. City Group is sponsoring this year.
There are six medals in the boys and girls division and six disciplines in composite disciplines in Ryderov discipline. Junior Division Sub-20 and Cadet Division Sub-17 Archery will participate in the two-day competition.
This information was given by the Secretary General of Kazi Rajib Federation Uddin Ahmed Chapal.
The press conference was also attended by Deputy Chancellor of the Federation and Anisur Rahman Dipu, chairman of the training committee, and patrons of Sylhet City Group, Farzanul Haque. Two years ago, when the team and the competition declined compared to the first time, the participants in the future expect to grow.
