The government returned the passport of Allama Junaid Babunagar, secretary general of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh. It was returned after Tuesday night.
The matter was confirmed by Madrasa Hathazari's spokesperson, Mufti Sarwar Kamal. He said that Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi was making an effort to return the passport of Babunagar on his own initiative. So at 10am, the military secretary of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Major Mohammad Zainul Abedin, spoke on the telephone. He asked to return the passport. Later the passport was returned.

Mufti Sarwar said that Babunagari had suffered from various diseases, including kidney, heart and diabetes for a long time, but it was not possible to get him out of the country for better treatment. The doctors advised him to take her out of the country for better treatment.
Earlier, protests and demonstrations were held in the Hathazari Dakbungla area of Chittagong, demanding the return of the Babunagar passport.
Babunagiri was arrested in 2013 after the Shapla Chattar incident. At that time his passport was taken.
