The convener of Jatiya Oikyafront, Kamal Hossain, said yesterday that the alliance is fully united.
He, however, did not say whether the two elected members of his party (Gonoforum) will join parliament.
"Our Jatiya Oikyafront is cent per cent united. Our union is forged with the people of the country with 16 crore," he said.
He made the remarks as he addressed a preparatory meeting of Gonoforum for his 5th national council at the party's central office in Arambagh.
"I have visited many places and found the unity of our alliance intact and will be consolidated in the coming days."
The head of Oikyafront said that people now believe that they are the owners of the country and its resources.
He called on all to organize and remain alert so that no one can divert or waste the resources of the country. "We must remain aware of the forces of evil and of the people who want to misappropriate our assets."
Kamal said a national unit could protect the interests of people and their state property.
Asked about the first session of the 11th parliament, the convener of Oikyafront said he will present his statement on the subject later.
Asked if the two elected members of Gonoforum will be sworn in, he said: "It is not the right question to discuss here, we will talk about it later at a press conference. We are now talking about giving national unity an institutional form"
Dr. Kamal called on people to organize around the country so that Oikyafront can play an effective role in protecting national interests.
The fifth council of Gonoforum will be held on 23 and 24 March in the capital.
