Hope Solo is married to former NFL player Jerramy Stevens since 2012. Only two months after they became a couple, they gave the yes. Last year, the two would actually become parents. But in February 2018 she had a miscarriage.

"You had to remove my fallopian tubes"
Solo and Stevens have long tried to start a family. Soon after the 37-year-old knew of her pregnancy in 2018, she suffered a miscarriage and was then told she expected even twins. One of the babies was an ectopic pregnancy. "The doctor said I was about to die," Solo says in an interview with the American magazine Elle. "They had to remove my fallopian tubes," she says as well.
A sad story that the athlete has now made public. She still hopes to become a mother someday. She and Stevens now want to try again with artificial insemination, as Solo also told.
Hope Solo has been playing for the US national women's soccer team for 17 years. With the team, the athlete has won twice the Olympic Games and once the World Cup. The title defense is credited to the US team this year. But without a solo in the goal.
