Sold by Penny and Rewe: Remember several sausages

OVO-Vertriebs GmbH, Cologne, has started a recall for several sausages as it may contain plastic or metal particles. The consumption of products sold by Rewe and Penny is strongly discouraged.

In sausages, foreign bodies can get stuck

Cologne-based OVO-Vertriebs GmbH evokes several sausages, "because it can not be ruled out that foreign bodies (small pieces of black plastic 1 to 2 millimeters in size or pieces of a metal clip) can be found in individual sausages, "says in a customer information. Foreign bodies in food

In food production, due to errors in manufacturing processes, contaminants or foreign bodies, such as aluminum or plastic waste, can occur repeatedly.

Foreign bodies in food can cause many injuries and discomforts.

Depending on the size, condition and material of the swallowed body, sores in the mouth and throat may occur during chewing.

The swallowed plastic parts can – depending on size – block the esophagus or digestive organs.

If minor parts remain in the body, they may cause inflammation. In addition, digestive or stomach problems and internal injuries can not be ruled out.

Above all, it can be dangerous if the objects are glass. (Ad)
