Tomorrow, Interior Minister Herbert Kickl and Michaela Kardeis, director general of public security, are expected to attend the most interesting information providers to date. Above all, the research of the former is awaited with anxiety.
Opposition: Kickl the "mentor" behind the BAT-Cause
For the opposition, Kickl is considered a "mentor" behind the home searches now unlawfully declared in the Federal Office for Protection of the Constitution and in the fight against terrorism. SP, Neos and Now also accuse the Home Secretary of being "hostile" to the BAT for a long time. The reasons for this intimidation can be seen in the opposition located mainly in the extremism section of the BVT. This had already led people from the Kickl environment into the sights of their searches, but the Interior Minister finally retaliated with the controversial search for houses, suspected the opposition. According to opposition parties, Kickl would have consciously accepted the fact that the Austrian secret services suffered huge losses of confidence in foreign partners as a result of the attack.
Kickl contradicts opposition representation
As expected, government parties, above all the FPÖ, will oppose their own view of the cause with this presentation of events. As on previous occasions, Kickl is very likely to assert that the whole cause is, in his view, just a simple criminal case. The Home Secretary had already stated several times in the past that in his opinion more criticism would have been received with him if he did not make a quick search on the anonymous opponent's allegations. (The partially confused letter is considered the starting point of the case, P. .
Did Kickl "clean" the job on the BAT?
In any case, it will be exciting to see how Kickl will deal with the numerous contradictions in which "his" secretary-general Peter Goldgruber was involved in his questioning before the committee. In his testimony to the investigative committee, he repeatedly caused confusion by repeatedly contradicting himself, as well as the Director General of Public Safety, Michaela Kardeis and the promoter Schmudermayer.
Is BAT as "corrupt as ever"?
The latter, for example, wrote in his "public prosecutor's diary" that Goldgruber was commissioned by Interior Minister Kickl to clean up BAT because he was "more corrupt than ever." Goldgruber himself, however, denies having had such allegations.
The question of a possible allocation is of crucial quality to the work of the committee of inquiry. Because: According to the laws of the Republic of Austria, it is not the task of the Ministry of the Interior to carry out any criminal activity in the BVT, this task is in a constitutional state exclusively for the promoter's offices. Because: BAT is a subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior, but its control is not the responsibility of the Ministry itself, as this clearly contradicts the separation of powers.
Director-General is declaring suspension gridlings
Kardeis, on the other hand, is expected to answer questions about the circumstances surrounding the suspected suspension of IPV Gridling's U-Committee director, as well as to reiterate his position on the request made by Undersecretary-General Goldgruber to investigators disguised in the extreme -right,
Justice Minister Moser arrives Wednesday
A day after Kickl and Kardeis, Justice Minister Josef Moser and prosecutor Ursula Schmudermayer will join the committee. Although Schmudermayer has already been questioned before the U commission, the opposition now wants to confront them with Goldgruber's later contradictions.
Moser, in turn, according to the opposition parties before the committee, explains mainly why the judiciary in BAT-Cause has been active relatively late.
