Ex-Vogue editor says Helena Christensen is "too old" to wear a bustier

Former British Vogue chief editor is in trouble after beating sexy supermodel Helena Christensen.

In an article published by the Daily Mail over the weekend, fashion editor Alexandra Shulman stated that Christensen, 50, was "too old" to wear the black lace bustier she combined with high-waisted jeans for the party of 24 years of Gigi Hadid last week.

"We would like to think that 70 is the new 40 and 50 the new 30, but our clothes know the true story," wrote 61-year-old Shulman, calling Christensen's look "tacky" and comparing him to " a city of a horse ", The NY Post reports.

"Something you wore at age 30 would never look the same to you 20 years later. Clothes do not lie, "she added. "When women's bodies no longer serve a child's purpose, we find them to be disturbing and slightly tragic. I do not claim that this is fair. But it's true."

Christensen responded by posting a photo of herself wearing the same corset next to designer Camilla Stærk and Tali Lennox.

"Let's continue to uplift and support each other, everything you beautiful, intelligent, fun, sexy, hard-working, talented, nurturing women out there," she captures the snap, along with the hashtag #ooopssheworeabustieragain.

Famous friends of the fashion legend flooded the comments section with support.

"You're BEAUTIFUL inside and out," wrote Edward Enninful, who replaced Shulman as British Vogue's chief editor in 2017.

"She should be ashamed of herself. You're a goddess," added Linda Evangelista, while Karen Elson wrote, "I just read this article.Bit * h please … you're on fire!"

"Such a cheap photo, she has no right or claims to be writing such a ridiculous article," said supermodel colleague Naomi Campbell. "I've known you for 30 years and what you wear, you wear WELL with class and dignity! ! Hold your head up and keep your direction.

It's not just your supermodel friends who are furious, with social media full of indignation as well.

The NY Post contacted Alexandra Shulman to comment.
