A cyclist was killed in a car crash and flight incident in western Sydney.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Harry Avenue and Maud Street, Lidcombe, around 4:45 am on Tuesday after reports of a male cyclist getting hit by a car.

The man died on the spot. He was not formally identified.
