A new blow is viralizing through WhatsApp and wreaking havoc on users.
It's a message with a link to install a supposed new version of WhatsApp that will contain different benefits for users, but it's a scam.
The message in question usually arrives forwarded by a contact. By clicking on the link, a hidden add-on is downloaded under the name WhatsApp Gold, but in reality is a mechanism that leaves the phone at the mercy of hackers to steal data or install malware.
Never download programs sent by messages, but do so on Google Play or the official App Store. (Archive)
It's always very important to remember that you do not need to download programs sent by messages, but do so on Google Play or the App Store.
If you've already cheated and downloaded WhatsApp Gold, you should remove the application and verify that you are not subscribed to any premium messaging service.
