Three things you can do with the new WhatsApp update – Current Life – Latest news from Uruguay and the world updated

Did you know that you can now slip a message to write an answer? Or that you can prioritize your contacts and give a special notice to your boss? Over the last few months, Facebook, owner of WhatsApp, prioritized the development of the popular instant messaging platform. Today we'll show you three features you may not know about yet.

1. Stickers

Users can use the popular stickers in the application. The feature, which is already present in Messenger chats, Instagram stories, or Telegram chats, is enabled for both Android and iOS devices.

To use them, you need to have version 2.18.101 of WhatsApp. Select the option to send emoticons. Then, in the text pane inside the chats, a new option for stickers will be displayed at the bottom next to the icons corresponding to emoticons and gifs.

When you touch this option, you will find pre-determined stickers. If you want to access other designs, you can search the text panel for a + button, which will take you to examples of downloadable sticker packs.

2. Listen to an audio before sending it

Another novelty is that you can record voice notes and, with certain movements, manipulate them. If, for example, you want to record without limit so that you do not need to press the microphone button continuously, start an audio recording and slide it up smoothly without releasing it. A lock icon will appear and you will see that you can record without pressing. To send you should just press the submit button.

If you definitely regret what you are saying or while recording some background noise sounds that you can not avoid, you can discard the audio before you send it by dragging the recording while holding it down to the left side. A trash can icon will appear and you can try again.

Finally, there is a simple trick to listen to your audio without removing it and without sending it right away. To achieve this, you have to press the microphone to send a message and lock the recording by sliding it up. Then, you leave the conversation by pressing the button to return to all the chats. You enter the conversation again and there you will find a button to play, another to delete and another to send the audio after listening.

3. Manage your contacts

Users can also customize, prioritize, and review the activity they have in the app to see which of your contacts speak the most. They can, for example, identify how many photos or audio messages were shared in a conversation or group chat.

To access this functionality, go to & # 39; Settings & # 39 ;, & # 39; Data & Storage & # 39; and choose the & # 39; use of storage & # 39; option. There you will find a list sorted by the amount of data exchanged. By choosing one, you'll see how many messages, photos or documents have been exchanged.

In this menu, you can also customize how the activity of each conversation will be notified in the "personalized notifications" option, where you can change tone, light and vibration.

Among the news, WhatsApp warns you if a message is sent automatically. You can also respond to a specific message by sliding to the left. The typed text will resume this message and appear as an answer.
