A report revealed that users continue to ignore the recommendations of security experts.

It is said and repeated without ceasing that it is important to have a strong password and change it frequently. However, it seems that this maxim has not yet penetrated users.

SplashData has compiled the worst passwords for 2018 and the podium is still "123456", as happened last year. Followed by "password" and "123456789".

The company analyzed more than 5 million passwords leaked on the internet and came to the conclusion that people keep opting for passwords and are hard to guess.

Within the list came some news about the previous year as "Donald", "aa123456" and "password1". As you can see, none complies with some of the basic requirements to be safe.

It should be remembered that it is suggested that passwords include combinations of numbers, letters, and signs. It is also important to change these codes frequently, not to share them through chats or emails.

It may also be useful to use password managers.

In turn, it is essential to enable dual authentication factor across all accounts. That way, if someone can decipher the password, it will not be enough to hack e-mails or messages.
