In supermarkets, they totaled US $ 239,156 million, a year-on-year decrease of 0.2% compared to the same period of 2017.

On the other hand, although sales in supermarkets through the online channel increased by 58.7% in September, for now they represent only 1.5% of the total. In the same month, sales at current prices – including inflation – at wholesale self-service stores totaled US $ 6,209.1 million, an increase of 22% over the same month in 2017.

In the shopping centers, sales at current prices in September 2018 reached US $ 5,749.9 million, an increase of 17.2% over the same month of 2017.

In September, the items with the highest sales increase in shopping malls were "Perfumaria e Farmacia", 40.1%; "Others", 36.8%; "Juguetera", 32%; "Shelf and basket of papers", 31.4% and "Sports clothing and accessories", 29.3%. In the City of Buenos Aires, the items that registered the greatest variations in the same period in relation to the same month of 2017 were "Others", 62.5%; "Perfumery and pharmacy", 38.2%; "Bookstore and garbage basket" and "Juguetera", both with 33.9% and "Sports clothing and accessories", 31.5%.

In the metropolitan area, the largest variations in September compared to the same month of 2017 corresponded to "Perfumaria e farmacia", 44.2%; "Juguetera", 29.7%; "Furniture, decoration and home textiles", 28.5%; "Sports clothing and accessories", 27.9%; and "Librería y papelera", 27.7%.
