Companies have teamed up to bring RV experiences to market based on the world's most popular automotive competition
When HTC and McLaren announced an association in May for several years, they should launch a virtual reality device together.
The wait has finally come to an end, as this Friday both companies have introduced a Vive Pro virtual reality lens designed exclusively for Formula 1 fans.
The limited edition Vive Pro McLaren carries the colors of the English racing team around the front chambers, menu button and driver belts. In addition, the kit includes its own packaging, ideal for collectibles. The price is $ 1,549, which is a bit more than the value of the standard version of $ 1,199 for the complete kit.
Strictly speaking, the extra $ 350 value simply covers two McLaren RV experience applications that are typically limited to subscribers to the Viveport service. The racing simulator rFactor 2 McLaren Edition of Studio 397 Promotes "a surround sound environment and stunning graphics" along with dynamic climatic conditions. In addition, the simulator's race tracks use "real road" technology that "changes grip as more cars roll over it."
The other application is McLaren Garage VR Experience, which explains to himself. This game is a collaboration between McLaren, Vive Studios plus vDesign and puts the user in the McLaren workshop with three roles to choose from: tire "gunner", tire dismantling and tire editor. The app lets you challenge other players to see who has the best speed record.
The release of this limited edition Vive Pro McLaren follows HTC's participation in the ShadowSports eSports program in which players compete on virtual circuits and have the opportunity to become real-life drivers as well as Rudy van Buren, who won the 2017 contest .
