Salud filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office to ensure respiratory isolation for 85 residents.
Chubut Health Minister Adrián Pizzi has filed a complaint Thursday with the Esquel Public Ministry requesting the filing of judicial measures to ensure the selective respiratory isolation of cases affected by hantavirus contingency.
Chubut health portfolio holder Adrián Pizzi, accompanied by the assistant director of the Esquel Area Program, Jorge Elías, held a meeting today with the promoters Maria Bottini and Ezequiel Forti, who formalized a complaint about the risk to the collective interest for health public.
For their part, the aforementioned prosecutors asked the judge for a measure to protect the community by ordering those who comply with the respiratory isolation indicated by the Ministry of Health in their homes for 30 days.
Pizzi pointed out that, due to the recorded epidemiological contingency, with a total of 26 confirmed positive cases to date and 9 deaths, the health team decided about 10 days ago as the main tool for conducting a selective respiratory isolation.
In turn, explained that this measure outlined to cut the chain of transmission of the virus reaches about 85 neighbors. "As there are people who refuse to respect and others who do not comply, we ask the intervention of Justice," argued the minister in his presentation.
The presentation made this afternoon by provincial health authorities before the Public Ministry responds to the need for selective respiratory isolation is mandatory "because of the protection of public health and the community."
"The specific request is the mandatory nature of a selective isolation at home for 30 days. In addition, the State meets the needs and demands of families," he said. "We urge you to join us to ensure full compliance with what we believe is the main tool to reduce the outbreak," he added.
He also pointed out that professional teams perform not only a clinical approach to the situation, but also social, employing strategies of containment, research, monitoring and follow-up in coordination with the Ministry of Health, epidemiologists and the Malbrán Institute, for example.
