South Korea's Samsung unveiled its largest store in Mexico, on the top floor of Perisur Square, on the CDMX.
This experience store, or boutique, is Samsung's fifth in Mexico and also the second most extensive store in Latin America.
Hervé Baires, CMO of Samsung, said in an interview with El Financiero that the company's expansion in the country, hand in hand with the Palacio de Hierro Group, is on the rise: only in 2017 did they open their first store in Mexico (in Santa Fe) and Perisur add five, a number that will rise to nine on Friday, November 16 with the opening of another boutique in the Delta Park (CDMX) and three kiosks in the Centro Coyoacán (CDMX), Plaza Satellite (CDMX) and Paseo San Pedro (Monterrey, Nuevo Leon).
Among all the stores that are part of the expansion of Samsung, what is different from Perisur?
This new Samsung store has all the models of the company's different phone lines: from the Galaxy Note 9 star to the J and A series (the latter, for example, has a three-camera smartphone with an intermediate price of 10 thousand pesos).
In addition, the store is made up of smart watch models from Samsung. You can try them all with test smartphones or with your own equipment of the same brand.
On the sides we have four sections of experience for the user: room with virtual reality lenses along with 4DX armchairs; audio section with Gear Icon X, JBL test headphones, among others; Galaxy Note 9 test with Fornite so you can play it on screens over 50 inches; and a room of photos to test the quality of the cameras of any model of the company.
The Perisur store also has a specific section for the latest models of tablets, books and even Samsung Dex monitors to connect models such as the Galaxy S8 or higher.
At the back of the boutique you can find cell phone protectors for any Samsung model and smart covers for high end phones. In addition, sections of your mobile phone personalization and customer service to repair damage to Samsung devices in an hour.
In the store, you can also have an E Store screen to purchase any accessory or device you can not find in the store, either because of its size (smart devices) or because of low availability.
"We can not have the deployment (in other stores) as we have here.It is possible to teach all the benefits of our products and see how they work. Not only is playing with the screen but you make your experience with taking some photos, you will and experience the VR, you see that we have Fornite and we see how your cell phone connects to a QLED. That's what we've been looking for from day one, "Baires said.
Samsung's CMO added that this store will be an important pillar in Buen Fin sales, which will receive rebates of up to 40 percent on S9 + and lower models; 50 percent on QLED screens; 30 percent in some refrigerators and washing machines; and gifts when you buy the Galaxy Note 9 – using the 128GB model, you get a keyboard and an HDMI cable to connect it to a screen; if you buy the 512 GB, they will give you a micro SD of 512, so you have 1 TB of total memory, just like some computers and video game consoles.
"If we set up the Good End with the end of the year as a quarter, a very important sale of Samsung's Mexico sales is concentrated there, it balances little with Father's Day and Mother's Day, but the last quarter is O more intense period for us: the last quarter should have about 30% of the sales of the whole year, "he concluded.
